FOOD

For those that are interested, this page has pictures of the food that we bring to each game:

Game 4:
We were away playing Tulane in New Orleans. The food was great. The first night Charlie and I ate at great Restaurant on Bourbon St. called Le Bayou. I highly recommend it. Saturday for lunch we had jambalaya and a crawfish pie at the game. Saturday late afternoon snack included raw oysters, gumbo and cheese grits.

Game 3:
The Menu

Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwiches
These are a spin off of last week's sandwiches. Trey had the idea. We used Zaxby's chicken strips, swiss cheese, ham and homemade honey dijon mustard.

Mississippi Tamales
The darker ones in the center are compliments of Steve Cork from Tupelo. They are venison tamales and were delicious! the surrounding tamales came from Shipley's donuts. If you haven't had their tamales before they're a great find when you can't get to the Delta or if you don't know someone that has them.

Italian Skewers
These were super tastey and my creation. The cute skewers are from Party Works with mozzerella cheese cube, a cherry tomato, an artichoke wrapped with salami and an olive. The skewers were marinated overnight in a balsamic dressing and lemon juice.

Roasted Sweet-White Potatoe Salad
This was super tastey and Trey's creation. I would definitely eat this again. I was shocked that the sweet potatoes were my favorite.

Tippah County Cavier
Compliments of Newks. With everything else (homemade food and projects) we needed a yummy softball.

Assorted Berries
These were so good: raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries.

Rebel Berry Cupcakes
Like I said in the Game 3 post, these were amazing, a Trey original recipe: yellow cupcake filled with a strawberry ginger jam topped with smooth icing and Pop Rocks, wow.

The Spread, View A
The only thing I can't believe we missed taking a picture of was my mom's cheese ball. It is the best cheese ball ever and she even made it in the shape of a football! Oh well, I guess that means we will have it again :o) (any excuse for that delicious dish)

The Spread, View B
Again, we out did ourselves.

Game 2:

Southern Style Cuban Sandwiches
Made with brisket from LL's BBQ (location of the old B's bbq). I had their platelunch Friday before gameday and it was mighty fine.

Zaxby's Wings

Zesty Bean Salad
Trey's recipe and it was delicious.

Ham & Horseradish Dip
It's from Panini's in Oxford and is as yummy as it sounds.

Broccoli Salad
Another Trey original and just as tastey as the first one.

Cookie-Brownie Bars
I made these, but yes it's Trey's recipe. I'm really lucky that I have a brother that cooks.

Fruit
Fresh canteloupe and honeydew, yum.

There were other dishes, but I failed to take pictures of everything. I will have to be better than that in the future.

Game 1:

Here is the menu and the only photograph that shows the Cole's crackers in the cannister.

These are meatball bites: meatball, cheese and pizza sauce wrapped in a crescent roll.

 Fruit: grapes, muscadimes and cherries

Charlie's famous pork tenderloin sandwiches

Trey's homemade sweet tea tarts.

Feta dip -- DELICIOUS -- recipe compliments of Anna Howard.

Boiled peanuts by Charlie, yum.

Chick-fil-a chicken nuggets, always a crowd pleaser.
